INTRODUCING
THE PETER NORMAN FOUNDATION |
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION:
On the 3rd of October 2006, the World lost one of the good guys. Peter Norman, 200m Silver Medalist from the 1968 Mexico City Olympic games died suddenly of a heart attack in his Melbourne home aged 64.
Peters nephew Matt Norman wants Peter Norman's memory to stay alive and so the Peter Norman foundation was born.
The foundation is a way to bring attention to civil and human rights injustices around the World but also to facilitate funding programs for people in our global community to become the very best they can become through special grants and opportunity with the foundation.
The company directors for the Peter Norman foundation are Matt Norman and Matt Tol of Matt Tol & Associates, who will
be overseeing all financials of each project.
THE FOUNDATION GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
1) To help financially support young athletes in their quest for Olympic glory through grants from the PNF.
2) To build a Statue at Melbourne's 1956 Olympic stadium and now MCG to honor Peter Norman's contribution to athletics and his stance against racism.
3) To maintain a presence in civil and human rights issues around the World and to encourage young Australian's to stand up against race issues and human and civil rights injustices.
